Dear mummy,
I know that you used to think when your son introduces his wife it will be a very exciting time. However, When you found out the wife is not Nigerian it might have been a little daunting .
I totally understand that cultural expectations can make it difficult for an African lady to accept a European daughter in law. I understand that you got worried that your son won't be taken care of because not all European wives are keen on carrying out domestic duties.
I thought it is time to write a few encouraging words to you, my dear mummy in law.
Please I want you to know that I love you loads and I won't take your son away neither your grandchildren. I love your African culture and even try to learn your language... (Please help me with this one.)
Thank you for taking care of my children in Nigeria at the moment and that you accept me even though I wasn't born in Nigeria. God bless you real good.
