I AM GIVING THE MARRIAGE A YEAR OR SO!

Call me crazy to write here, but I’m very angry

when people say (behind our back):

I AM GIVING THE MARRIAGE A YEAR OR SO!

Most people still don't believe black and white people can exist together. One of my readers described it perfectly: "every thing God created seems to exist in different colors, from cats to potatoes, and do you see cats complaining when the orange one has to meet with the black one? no. I don't get why it has to be so complicated with humans and we are supposed to be smarter?"

I am always asked what it is like to be married to a Nigerian? But tell you the truth I really don't know. I guess it is not different to be married to a Hungarian or Chinese. All of us has different favourite foods , different favourite songs and things that you need to get used to as a spouse.

I personally always forget that I married a black man...lol

I love my husband and won't let others tell me how long we will be married. Get over it. We are here to stay. AMEN.

This post has been inspired by negative comments on my very first home video posted on my husband's youtube channel:

  1. Pple ve tht habit of judging what they don't know my mom n dad was married till death seperated them about 12 years ago and I personally believe black white or other interracial marriages do work if one wants it to work it depends on both partners and also needs to be understanding and patience

    1. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I think people forget that it is not skin colour that makes a marriage work. It is will, respect and patience. A marriage you described is my primary marriage goal.

  2. I'll tell you the real reasons why some people leave negative comments

    1. They are really jealous of you, your beauty, and your successful marriage
    2. They are insecure, and can't comprehend why life is beautiful for others, and not for them.

It takes some level of maturity to realize that such people will always exist, and to always ignore them. I'm a proud Nigerian, and having followed your blog for sometime now, I love your honesty, and your personality. Don't be bothered. Those for you are more than those against you (Courtesy, the Bible)

    1. Thank you so much for your support. It is quite interesting how I and my husband learnt to ignore negativity and people starring on the street. We just don't see them any more and it doesn't matter what they think anyway as long as we have each other. Love is beautiful.

      Thanks for commenting.
